Howdy!

Welcome to TexasTorah.com.

On Shabbat, enjoy Torah portion readings followed by in-depth and insightful nugget digging discussions. We invite you to join us for several hours of Shabbat joy. We laugh, we pray, we sing, and we read the words of the Almighty from Genesis to Revelation. We pursue the Hebrew origins of scripture to gain a significantly better understanding of YHWH. Our scripture begins with the very words of our Creator. It is imperative that we listen and understand those words better. The Almighty first spoke these words (Genesis 1), then wrote them down for a nation (Deut 5:22) and when that nation had become so lost, He physically came to us and demonstrated the exact same Torah way of life (Matt 5:18).

We see Messiah in the scriptures from the beginning and we strive to adhere to the Two Greatest Commandments first stated in Torah and then repeated by Messiah when walking among us: Love YHWH with all your heart, soul and resources ... and love our neighbor as the same (the Shema: Deut 6:4). The Golden Rule of course applies in reverse and we should never be a stumbling block. It really is quite simple. Not always easy to implement, but it is simple. More details here...

As a father, my intentional focus with my children has to been to demonstrate in every possible way that there is but ONE Almighty. Years have been spent focusing on the overwhelming evidence of the Creation as written in Genesis. It has been my deliberate intention that my children will never doubt that there is but ONE Creator and that evolution is a farce, a fake and frankly idolatry; anything that replaces our Creator is an idol. Prove that YHWH is the absolute authority of all and children will have faith in the rest of scripture. If they doubt in the Creator, then scripture becomes folklore.

Also, be aware, that protecting our children from the tares of the this world and from the weeds of society is something we take seriously. We do have a modesty/dress code to protect them and others. We indeed live in this world, but we are not to be OF the world, but rather of Torah. So, remaining as pure as possible is clearly a great concept. You do not have to agree with it and no one is forcing anything upon anyone -- this is simply our halakhah. Thank you for loving us as your neighbor. Modesty/Dress Code...
